WWI Installation at Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery
To commemorate those who lost their lives during the First World War, artists Andy McKeown and Maggie Love will be developing a participatory installation, on the balcony of the Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery during June.
Throughout the residency people are invited to visit the exhibition and participate in the creation of a visual and audio record, by transcribing a single name from the Roll of Honour to a telegraph card and making a voice recording of that same person’s name. During the residency a growing body of unique voices will each commemorate a name on the Roll of Honour and the completed cards will accumulate below a continuous stream of projected names.
You too can add your voice to this unique and moving record. For details see our events listings.
