Welcome to Shropshire Remembers
Shropshire Archives is co-ordinating an extensive range of activities to commemorate the First World War. The programme will encompass many different art forms and highlight the fantastic heritage collections in both public and private hands. In the late summer and autumn of 2018 events will be held to remember the centenary of the death of poet and soldier Wilfred Owen and of Armistice Day on 11th November.
On this website you can see what events are happening in your area and publicise your own WWI events. You can also contribute your own stories and images of people and communities which were affected by the First World War.
