Lieutenant Derwent Christopher Turnbull, Mentioned in Despatches, 84th Field Amb, Royal Army Medical Corps attd. 1st Bn. Cheshire Regiment. Shot through the right lung 10 March 1915 whilst attempting to rescue an officer from no-mans-land, near Hooge Crater, Ypres; died from his wounds and the onset of pneumonia 14 March 1915, aged 24. Remembered at Church Stretton.

Private Alfred Dyter, 8089 2nd Bn. King’s Shropshire Light Infantry. Killed in action defending trenches 15 March 1915, aged 36. Remembered at High Ercall.
