Bayston Hill Memorial Hall was a fitting venue for a weekend of First World War displays and memories as it was built to commemorate the men lost during that war.

Alan Caswell said the event was a resounding success. “It was opened by our Special Guest Mrs Evelyn Price a sprightly 96 year old who was born in July 1918 and lived all her life in Bayston Hill. Her father and his two brothers served in WWI. The younger Brother, her Uncle Harold Ernest Lovett lied about his age but sadly was killed and is on our Roll of Honour.”
