Shrewsbury

Devised by Keith Pybus, the ‘Tracks to the Trenches’ walk is about 3 miles in length and starts at the town’s impressive railway station, another of Tom Owen’s workplaces. It will lead you to the home of his parents where the fateful telegram was received on Armistice Day informing them of Wilfred’s death and on to the Abbey, where there are two memorials.
